New Year's Day. January 1, or following Monday if Jan. 1 falls on Saturday or Sunday.
Family Day. Alberta only. Third Monday of February.
Good Friday. Check your calendar.
Easter Monday. Federal and Provincial employees but not everyone else.
Victoria Day. Monday before or on May 24. Marks the beginning of summer season for many purposes.
Canada Day. July 1 or following Monday if July 1 falls on Saturday or Sunday. This doesn't always make for a long weekend, but lots of people take off earlier or later part of week to make a longer weekend.
First Monday of August. Goes by different names in each province. "Heritage Day" in Alberta.
British Columbia Day
1 The first Monday of August is a legal holiday to be observed as "British Columbia Day".

Remembrance Day. November 11. Federal and some provincial. Not everyone gets this. Marks the beginning of X-C ski season in the mountains.
